Initial Post

This is my new blog, my small space on the Internet, where I plan to rant and rave as I see fit. It is not my first blog, but my first in a long while.

My previous blog was hosted on the Python Community Server. Unfortunately, that service became unreliable in 2006 then went off the air only to return later as a read-only service. While my old blog is still hosted there in read-only form, I’d really like to import it into my new blog. If anyone knows how to import from the Python Community Server into WordPress please tell me how.

Now I’m managing my own domain, e-mail and web hosting, the lot. It keeps me up to date with the hands-on side of the industry and the power over my content remains safely in my own hands.

My interests include software development, system administration. Open Source, martial arts, anime, learning to play guitar, learning Spanish, reading, writing speculative fiction, and more. In short, don’t expect cohesion, but do expect general geekery.
